Despite the pandemic restrictions, students at IESO Alconétar have celebrated International Women´s day in a very special way. They have honored their local women, their mothers, grandmothers, aunties and friends who have fought for their rights and have shown courage in various fields so that they have more opportunities in education, career choice, politics or being a working mother.
They have done it making the following video and using English as the language of communication. A short introduction about the history of this remarkable day and its importance has been included at the beginning of the video to continue with pictures of the student´s most important women in their lives and a brief description of them and why they have had a great impact on our students´ lives.
A pesar de las restricciones por la pandemia, los alumnos del IESO Alconétar han celebrado el día Internacional de la mujer de una manera muy especial. Han honrado a sus mujeres locales, a la mujer rural, a sus madres, abuelas y tias que han luchado por sus derechos y han mostrado valentía en diferentes campos para que ellas tengan más oportunidades en educación, política o en el mundo laboral como madres trabajadoras. Todo esto lo han hecho a través de un vídeo en el que usando el inglés como lengua vehicular rinden homenaje a las mujeres más importantes de sus vidas.
El vídeo comienza con una pequeña introducción sobre la historia de este notable día y su importancia, para continuar con fotografías de mujeres de la localidad que han tenido impacto en las vidas de nuestros alumnos y una breve descripción de estas hecha por ellos. Los alumnos rinden honor a la mujer rural transmitiéndoles su admiración en inglés.
La realización del vídeo ha sido un trabajo colaborativo entre diferentes grupos del IESO Alconétar que han tenido que trabajar conjuntamente mostrando sus habilidades no sólo en el uso del inglés oralmente si no también en otros campos como la composición de presentaciones o edición de vídeo.
